History FAQ's Apply for Internship Former Interns

“From a young age, I have been involved with and have had a passion for my community. Giving back has always been a priority. After 10 rewarding weeks in the Washington, D.C. and York District offices, I experienced firsthand the importance of public service on every end of the spectrum. From working directly with constituents to federal agencies, I have been fully engaged to the commitment of our community and country as a whole. Congressman Todd Platts and his staff have shown me the true meaning of dedication, as the 19th District constituents and community always took precedence. The skills I have gained are invaluable and I am blessed to have been chosen for this eye-opening experience. Thank you to the 19th District Association, Congressman Platts and his staff for allowing me to have this fulfilling experience.”

-Paige Strathmeyer, 2012 Summer Intern
