“The internship with Congressman Scott Perry and his staff provided me with an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about our nation’s government and explore our nation’s capital. Serving in both the Washington, D.C. and York offices allowed me to see how the needs of the local community are addressed at a national level. During my time on Capitol Hill, I was able to attend lectures given by former ambassadors, governors, and members of Congress, run into well-known figures such as Congressman Eric Cantor, and learn about many policy issues. I have truly enjoyed being able to give back to the community I grew up in, and will carry the many insights I gained from this experience into the future. I am deeply grateful for the 4th Congressional District Internship Association, Congressman Perry, and his staff for providing me with this opportunity and for mentoring me throughout the process.”

-Casey Skevington, 2013 Summer Intern
