“The internship with Congressman Perry and his staff has granted me not only invaluable insight into our nation’s legislative process, but also the privilege to serve fellow residents of the 4th Congressional District. Each day in the Washington, D.C. office brought a new opportunity to research current or proposed policies, to sit in on a Congressional hearing or legislative briefing, or to attend informative speeches by elected officials such as House Speaker John Boehner and President Obama. My time in the Wormleysburg office has been equally as insightful, as speaking with constituents and assisting with casework has demonstrated first-hand how decisions made on Capitol Hill affect the local community. I would highly recommend this experience to all college students with an interest in public service, regardless of political affiliation. I cannot thank the 4th Congressional District Internship Association, Congressman Perry, and his remarkable staff enough for providing and guiding me through this incredible opportunity.”

- Claire Loht, 2014 Summer Intern

Opportunity of a lifetime.  This phrase best exemplifies every aspect of this amazing experience.  Working day-to-day through the legislative process on Capitol Hill all the way to assisting constituents with a myriad of needs, everyday was a new challenge that opened my eyes to the value and rewarding nature of representing the 4th district.  I’ve built relationships and connections through the internship that I will carry into the next stage of my life.”

- Zach Harrell, 2014 Summer Intern
